DO TO OVERWHELMING DEMAND AND BIBLE STOCK ISSUES, WE ARE SADDENED TO SAY THAT WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO SUSPEND BIBLE REQUESTS FOR A WHILE. WE WANT TO ASSURE ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY REQUESTED, THAT WE WILL DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO FULFILL THOSE REQUESTS. WE ALSO WANT TO ASSURE EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO MAKE A REQUEST IN THE FUTURE, THAT WE WILL START TAKING THOSE REQUESTS AS SOON AS WE ARE ABLE. We at freebibles.org feel that the best way to comply with this commission, is to offer free Bibles to anyone who wants one. A simple request will do. There will be no follow up of any kind. We do not keep any records of our requests, once that request is fulfilled. No one will call, no one will know. We do not even require a name with the request. Luke 17:10 "You also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.'"
We bring this passage up for a very practical reason. Return e-mails of praise or thanks will push the sender farther down the list than he or she originally was. Also, e-mails praising our work serve no purpose. Praise is reserved only for God. With the growing number of requests, being pushed back in line also serves no purpose. Thanks, on the other hand, is important to God and also to you; but a thank-you should be sent after you receive a Bible. In that way, we know that you've received it, God knows that you appreciate it and you don't loose your place in line.
Our only agenda, is to put anyone who wants to be, in touch with God's word as written in the Bible. We are confident that He will do the rest as He sees fit.
